Halloween Happenings at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix

Would you trust a surgeon who couldn't carve a pumpkin?  I guess the surgeons from St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona are not too worried about it.  Each year they do a contest to show off their abilities.  Today, seven surgeons used the tools of their trade, while colleagues dressing in the appropriate scrubs quietly cheer them on.

During this 30 minute competition the surgeons have a rare opportunity to joke around during this procedure, complaining about too much blood and requesting an anesthesiologist  to control the moving patient.  This yearly event is a must attend for the locals.

brain surgeon, Dr. Peter Nakaji

Dr. Nakaji said he was inspired by Barrow Neurological Institute's famous patient, Bret Michaels.
