It's OK To Be Cheesy For Thanksgiving

No way is Thanksgiving a cheesy holiday but you can be the cheese champion if you just be a bit creative with the cheese. Some of these ideas are simple enough for a four year old. Others may take someone just a bit older. They are all cute and unique holiday kitchen projects. Just start with you favorite recipe and let your inner artist surface.

I don't know for sure what makes up this turkey but it definitely starts with a cheese ball and nuts. As for the feathers - I think I will start with a rye cracker and do the trimming with cream cheese, a thick pesto, cheese (hate to say it but I think the cheese from the can would work great) and maybe a bit of carrot and beet paste. Guess I am thinking I want to add a bit more color. Anything would work. Let your imagination go wild.

Here's a couple of cheese ball turkeys that shares it's plate with the veggies. What a perfect combination of treats. Add a yummy cracker or two and you could most likely fill your guest or co-workers with this plate alone.

Bite size cheese snacks for the office, school or as an appetizer. A little bit of time involved here to shape the balls but oh so worth it.  Add your pretzel and a bit of greens and you are done. You can't deny that it's a great idea.

The is such an impressive piece. Simple and could be a perfect center piece. Of course, you could use some greens  for trim and a bit of texture instead of nuts if you have food allergies in your group. I would switch it up and use almond slivers. It may be a good concept to use for that new cheese ball recipe. There are some great ones out there. If you haven't check them out, click here and see what might be perfect for you.
