Save Big Dollars On Holiday Shoes

All women want to look like a million dollars for those  holiday events and parties but this is the time of the year that we really don't want to spend a million to look great. Here's a great way to spice up those last year heels to look brand new and beautiful.

Take your last years heels and add a bit of your own personality.

This could be last years holiday shoe, a new pair from a discount shoe store like Payless or the heel from your spring wardrobe.  For the holiday season, any color goes and you can add the flower, in any color to class it up.

In a sassy mood?  Add a bit of black ribbon to the red or pink heels and you will find a good start to finishing up that sexy outfit.

No way you have to stop at the flower or bow.  Grab a bag of rhinestones too.   This may end up being a bit of a time consuming project but well worth it all.  The rhinestones will most likely be a permanent addition but that is a great thing.

For just a few dollars you can buy enough rhinestones to do several items.

Less than $5 gets you Aileen's glue that will attach items you want to be permanent.
I suggest applying some of the flowers and ribbons on a temporary basis with hot glue sticks, so you can change up this pair of shoes again with the next holiday.

The wedding section of Michaels Craft Stores is a great place to find festive flowers in your white, eggshell and champagne colors.  Classy add on to your heels.

Nothing wrong with a bit of pastel for the holiday season, if the outfit is right.  But - add a bit of fun to it so it takes on that fun look.  Like I said earlier, you could add a black ribbon trim to this shoe and be ready for a totally sexy look for the club or bedroom.  Let your imagination go crazy.

Got boring heels?  You can add your own ribbons.  The metallics are totally holiday.  Colors to match can be just big time fun.  An you can decide how high you want to lace them.  Hancock Fabrics has a great assortment of ribbon and even some with holiday designs.  Perfect!

By now you are envisioning all the changes you can make on those heels collecting dust in the closet. One more thing to think about is how you can take a pair of shoes that maybe, already have a bow or flower and snazzy it up with rhinestones added, even if it is only a few to the trim or around the top edge or sole.

Have fun with your creativity!
